Elroy Darden will serve as President of The Rotary Club of Woodbridge-Perth Amboy in 2019-20, having accepted the lead at an installation dinner on Thursday, June 20th.District 7475 Governor-Elect M. Ann Walko presented the President's pin and a certificate. Elroy opened his remarks with thanks to Past President Rajesh Menon for his mentorship and contributions to the Club. Township Councilwoman Nancy Drumm presented a Proclamation from Mayor John McCormac to honor Elroy on the date of his installation as President.
Elroy Darden is a former Municipal Council President and Member of the Roselle, NJ, Municipal Council, President, Roselle Board of Education, First Sgt., U.S. Army Reserves (Ret.) having served overseas in Operation Desert Storm; and a contributing member of various community and charitable organizations including the Knights of Columbus, VFW and American Legion.
The installation event included fine food from Dominic's Italian Restaurant in Avenel, where meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month, and hand crafted wine compliments of President-Elect Walko.
